Daniel Carter

Daniel will be the first to admit he’s not the most graceful person, but sometimes clumsiness leads to the best things in life. That morning in March 2019, he was juggling coffee for his entire team when he literally ran into the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. What should have been mortifying became magical when Emma laughed at his joke instead of being angry about her ruined portfolio.

As a renewable energy engineer, Daniel spends his days thinking about sustainability and efficiency, but Emma taught him about spontaneity and creativity. She encouraged him to pursue his side passion for cooking, cheered him on during his weekend rock climbing adventures, and somehow made him feel like the funniest person alive even when his jokes were absolutely terrible.

The proposal wasn’t planned – they were sitting by the campfire after a challenging hike, Emma was sketching in her notebook, and Daniel just knew this was his person forever. He fumbled through a speech about solar panels being more efficient in pairs (typical Daniel) before finally asking her to marry him. When she said yes, he may have teared up a little. Okay, a lot.

Today, Daniel can’t wait to officially call Emma his wife and continue building their life together, one adventure at a time.
